Celebrating nature is our way of singing. Nature is a symphony that never ends. In our electronic age, even the suggestion of spending 30 minutes a day outside can be challenging. Earth blessings can be a form of walking prayer.

Once a month, we gather in ceremony to celebrate this grand home of ours as well as to connect with the rhythms of seasons. Winter Solstice Ceremonies are conducted at my home that is open to any and all. There is a creative force within all of us waiting to be expressed.

+ WEDDINGS

I can assist you in creating the wedding ceremony that reflects your unique bond and celebrates the love you have found. As an Interfaith Minister, I support your traditions, beliefs and cultural preferences. Everything is possible and nothing is essential or prescribed. I am available to offer suggestions for readings, content and structure, yet this truly is a process of co-creation. If you are like so many of us now who long to bring a sacredness to our important occasions, but may no longer have a church affiliation or may never have found a home in organized religions or may simply desire a more personal expression for this big event, then it would be my honor and privilege to be your celebrant on this day.

+ RENEWAL OF VOWS

Marriage is an on-going journey with many challenges and detours. Occasionally, couples find it energizing for their relationship to recommit their vows. Sometimes, circumstances have changed the relationship so much, that new vows need to be written and expressed.

As with a wedding ceremony, this event is made more meaningful in the presence of loved ones. My intention is to bring a sense of the sacred to the union as well. The Renewal of vows is an opportunity to truly express your personality and your new relationship with your spouse. Perhaps your wedding was in a church and this time you would like it to be in a garden. Perhaps the original wedding was formal and this one needs to be in barefeet! Or the first one was an elopement and now is your time to do an elegant affair.

There are no rules. This is your ceremony, your celebration of newfound love.

+ BABY BLESSINGS

What a joyous occasion to bring a new baby into the world! Naturally, we want to tell the whole world! We can't wait to introduce this incredible creation to all our relations. And as we have learned, "it takes a village...." so we need to call upon "our tribe" to support and cherish this child as we do. By creating a sacred ceremony that fits your family's beliefs, hopes and dreams for this new child, you will be setting the stage for a well-intentioned life.

As an Interfaith Minister, I can assist you in creating a ceremony that both blesses your new baby and celebrates your child's introduction to his or her new world. Some call this a Christening, a Baptism or simply a Baby Blessing. Some traditions use a ceremony to proclaim the name of the infant. Perhaps you would like to honor special people in your child's life with the role of godparents. This sacred ceremony can create that unique bond as well.

+ COMING OF AGE

In most cultures and countries around the world, the coming of age ceremony is an anticipated celebration of moving from childhood to adulthood. In our country, we may have elaborate birthday parties, but often the significance of this transition is overlooked.

Traditionally, coming of age ceremonies are timed for the 13th or 16th birthday, but with our sacred ceremony the timing can fit the child. As the challenges of navigating this rapidly changing world grow, the need to honor and delineate this passage from one stage to another is more important than ever.

+ HOUSE BLESSINGS

A new house becomes a home when we fill it with love. Just as we clean a space physically before we move in, cleaning a space energically can be just as crucial. We want our new environment to be cleared of any stagnant or static energy so that we might infuse that space with our best intentions and deepest desires. It brings me great pleasure to bless and cleanse a living space to help the owners celebrate this new beginning. This blessing can feel like a bright light shining throughout the house.

Likewise, I am frequently asked to cleanse a home that has been difficult to sell. Often this process helps all parties to release any attachments they may still have and offers an opportunity to create the new. Celebrations abound when a stubborn house then sells!

+ FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES

When someone dies, the loss is felt throughout the community.In honoring those who have passed with a Memorial Service, we give the community an opportunity to not only grieve and to say goodbye, but also to celebrate the life of the departed.

If you have just lost a loved one, the thought of planning a service may feel overwhelming. My experience is that if we do not have a church with "four walls," we have difficulty knowing where to turn in times like these. I can help. Bringing the sacred, not necessarily the religious, to these gatherings is my intention.

Memorial Services can be a time of sharing stories about our loved one, playing their favorite music and reading inspirational passages. A sacred, Interfaith ceremony ensures that all are included so that the essence of the event is one of completion, respect and love.
